Travels with my sister always result in stopping at every cemetery that comes into our vision. "We may have ancestors there," is her reasoning...seldom do we ever find any of our ancestors in areas where our ancestors never lived; however, it is interesting and many of the cemeteries are quite beautiful and always peaceful. This little country graveyard was spotted on our trip to nowhere on the back roads of North Carolina. We found that most little country cemeteries on our journey were just out the door and down the steps from a little country church. This was no exception. A small, beautiful, rock church was just steps away. And of course the setting was one of peace and tranquility, and full of yesterday's memories.

Beautiful find on the backroads!! I too love to stop at cemetaries, especially old historic ones with much history. I've been known to stop at a headstone and pray for those buried there. I love the history. Great capture Linda......F/V
