Description
This is a photographic image of beautiful Sylvan Lake which is known as the "crown jewel" of Custer State Park, South Dakota. It is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota and was created in 1881 when Theodore Reder built a dam across a place called Sunday Gulch. The beautiful lake with it's backdrop of magnificent, huge rock formations is often the location for beautiful lakeside weddings. Sylvan Lake was also chosen by the Disney Corporation for feature in the movie "National Treasure: Book of Secrets." It has a mystical, "other world" charm, and this image would look lovely gracing the walls of your home or office, especially in an area where nature is a theme. It would look great in a lodge, or over the fireplace of a rustic cabin, or used in the decor of a hotel, or restaurant. It is a picture of a truly remarkable place.

Lovely framing and I love how the shadowing around the edge of the water makes the rock formations stand out. l g+

This reminds me of the granite dells in Arizona. A beautiful scene and capture, Linda! Sharing!
