Description
This is an original photograph that has been digitally enhanced to give you a definitive work of art to hang on the walls of your home of place of business. It is the image of an arid, long forgotten cemetery in the little "ghost town" of Terlingua, Texas. More than likely, if you roam this deserted landscape during the evening hours, you won't be alone, even if you cannot see those souls who roam the area with you. The ghost town of Terlingua is just a few miles outside the western boundary of Big Bend National Park. For many years Terlingua was a thriving mining town, where cinnabar was taken from the ground and refined into quicksilver or mercury. When the demand for these minerals was no longer in demand, the town quickly became deserted. Today it has a few live inhabitants...and some who are no longer physically with us. It's current claim to fame is the annual world championship chili cook-off which attracts thousands of visitors a year. Just another reason to visit the Big Bend area of Texas.
