This is an original photograph that has been digitally enhanced to give you a distinctive work of art to display in your home or office. It is an image of a majestic buffalo whose herds once numbered in the millions and roamed the prairies of the western United States. They were the primary food source for the American Indians who lived on these prairies. As the buffalo were constantly hunted and the herds were depleted by the settlers and armies that came to settle in the territory of the buffalo, the Indian's main food source was depleted and they began to give up their lands for help from the government. This was one of the major reasons for the decline of the native Indian way of life. There is still a large, protected herd of buffalo on the plains of South Dakota, near the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. What a beautiful sight it is to see this large herd roaming the vast prairies.
