THE FINE ART AMERICA WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON PURCHASED ARTWORK
This is an original photograph that has been digitally enhanced to give you a distinctive work of art to grace the walls of your home or office. This particular art work is an image of a fun piece of "pasture" art just outside of the little west Texas town of Albany. It sits behind a barbed wire fence on Highway 6 near the entrance to the Newell Ranch in Shackleford County, Texas. Motorists passing through this part of far, west Texas are suddenly surprised when they see what appears to be a large deer skull lying there in the lonesome pasture. This fun art especially appeals to the thousands of deer hunters who pass through this part of westTexas in the fall. The amazing deer skull is huge, as big as the skull of an elephant, and it's tines are longer than fence posts. The antlers are constructed from abandoned oil field steel by Throckmorton, Texas artist, Joe Barrington. He moved the antlers to the ranch on a flat bed trailer, then unloaded and placed them with a wench. The ranch owner is not too worried about someone stealing his artwork since it weighs in the neighborhood of 2,500 pounds and is anchored into the ground. It certainly does attract lots of attention, and even though crossing a fence onto private property is considered a deadly sin by Texas ranchers, this owner enjoys seeing motorists stop and stand by the skull for picture taking...especially young people who see it all as a grand adventure. This fun work of art would be a great canvas wrap, and would be perfect in your ranch or country home, especially over your great fireplace. It would also be fun hanging on the wall of a western place of business, anywhere that enjoys western or Texas decor. People can't help but smile when they see this creative work of art...in person or on your wall.
