THE FINE ART AMERICA WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON PURCHASED ARTWORK.
This is an original photograph that has been gently, digitally enhanced to give you a distinctive work of art for your home or office walls. This is an image from the back of a small waterfall taken at Clark Gardens Botanical Park which is located between the towns of Mineral Wells and Weatherford, Texas. The gardens grew from the purchase of an unattractive, neglected piece of land. Billie and Max Clark bought the land and decided to make themselves a beautiful yard. Over a period of years, that yard became a breathtaking, 35 acre botanical garden full of flowers, trees, water features, birds, butterflies and a delightful spectacle of three different G model trains complete with a grand train depot. One of the garden's highlights is the early spring display of over 4,000 Iris varieties in bloom...mostly the tall, bearded Iris in every color imaginable. Each season at the gardens is full of the beauty of nature. The roses, irises and poppies are probably the most outstanding features of the garden. During their bloom time they are absolutely spectacular. This garden was a labor of love for Max and Billie Clark and one of their friends stated that whatever Billie wanted, Max saw that she got it. When they discovered that they had created something more than a backyard, they created the Max and Billie Clark foundation in 1999 and donated 143 acres including the garden to it. Billie Clark died in 2011 and Max, in his late 80's still devotes many hours each day to working in the garden. A beautiful place of refuge.
