Out of the blue one day my daughter-in-law called and said, "I have some days off. Would you like to go to Oklahoma with me and Caleb (my grandson?) Never one to turn down an opportunity to be on the go, I grabbed my ever ready bag and waited for her to get to my house. Our first stop was Tuttle, Oklahoma....you gotta be going there to get there... and a small wildlife preserve called "Tiger Safari". It was there we found the most beautiful wild cat that I have ever seen. It was a young Liger.
A Liger is the offspring of a male lion and a female tiger and is considered to be the biggest cat on earth. At maturity, a Liger can weight up to a thousand pounds and be up to 12 feet in length, twice the size of it's lion father. Since Lions and Tigers seldom ever meet up in the wild, all known Ligers have been born in captivity...
I am a digital photography artist. I love the things I see all around me from the mundane to the phenomenal, and if I can capture one of those things in a moment in time, I am happy. Beauty in this world makes my heart smile. Sadness and ugliness in this world makes my heart cry.
