This particular photograph was taken on a hot, sunny afternoon while driving down a highway near Graham, Texas. This beautiful animal was lying under a shade tree in order to escape some of the hot, Texas sun. She is part of a herd of Longhorns which are visible quite often in this area. Longhorns are beautiful, majestic animals and are one of my very favorite things to photograph.
