Driving through South Dakota is an awesome experience. So much beauty to be enjoyed. In some parts of the state each time you round a curve (and there are many) in the road there is a different landscape. Many of them rocky landscapes, not just rocks, but ROCKS in all shapes and sizes. Its a difficult situation for a photographer. One snaps a shot, the road curves and you must snap again. It is a constant activity. It is necessary to have someone else drive and someone who is willing to stop when you say, "Stop. Back up!" South Dakota is one of my most favorite places that I have ever visited. If you have never been there, you might want to give it a try.
