On a quiet Monday afternoon, my granddaughter and I were traveling from Montgomery, Texas to Waco, Texas. Since we had to be in no particular place at no particular time, she suggested that we take a backroad and take some photographs of St. Mary's, the church she attends when she is at home in Montgomery. Always having my camera within easy reach, I told her that I thought it was an excellent idea. She, too is becoming quite the photographer, so we both grabbed our trusty cameras and headed to Plantersville. Plantersville is a beautiful rural area about 15 miles from Montgomery, maybe 35 miles from College Station and 35 or 40 miles from Navasoto, Brenham and Conroe, Texas.
