This is an original photograph which has been digitally enhanced to give you a lovely work of art for your home, beach house waiting room or place of business.
This photograph was taken at Possum Kingdom Lake which is located just south of Graham, Texas. My husband and I live on Possum Kingdom Lake and we have 16 grandchildren who enjoy all lake activities. They are almost all grown up now, but when they were young we had "Cousin Camp" for them each year in July. We had them all (13 at the time) by themselves. No parents allowed. We had an actual camp...up by 8:00 A.M., breakfast which I cooked, then outside in front of the American flag to say the Pledge of Alligance and sing God Bless America. Then chores...making beds or folding sleeping bags and checking the chart of the days activities. Each day the girls cooked lunch or dinner and the boys cooked which ever meal the girls did not cook. By 9:30 it was time for the lake....swimming, tubing, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, fishing, jet skiing...they did it all. By 11:30 it was getting hot and time to come in out of the sun. Whoever was in charge of lunch headed to the kitchen while the other group just rested and played in the house. After lunch when the Texas sun was too hot to be outside, we did crafts, lots of crafts...fun stuff, snacked and worked on our program that we would present to the parents when they came the following weekend. Then we headed back outside for more lake time, then back inside for supper and bingo. After the last lake time all of the lifejackets were hung outside and ready to go for the following morning. This photograph is my creation depicting such fond memories of fun days, busy days, happy days, laughter, love and closeness. My grandchildren are still close today. It makes me happy.
